Lacoste Designer Clothes

The person who brung the designer clothing lable Lacoste was Rene Lacoste who was born in France on the 2nd July 1904.

By the early 1900's Rene had already won a French Open, Wimbledon and the U.S Open Title at Forest Hills. But his career has a very well known tennis player really started in 1927's when himself and his fellow team mates called themselves 'The Musketeers' where they went on to win the Davis cup of the Americans for the very first time. When they had won the David cup they then got a suitcase made especially for the cup from alligator skin. Rene himself thought that the alligator was a very special symbol to the way they played tennis.In 1933 Rene Lacoste got married to Simone Thion De La Chaume  where they both went on to set up a company to have the alligator logo sewn on to shirts that where especially designed by Rene to wear on the tennis court whilst playing his favourite sport.

From then on there where thousands more shirts produced in a wide range of colours, designs and styles. When these all became successful rene Lacoste and his wife went on to produce more items including Eau De Tolette, sunglasses, and a wide range of footweat. By this time rene Lacoste and his designer clothing where very well known in many different parts of the world.
